What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL-A OTR Solo Truck Driver position at C.R. England?
Nebraska drivers who want long-haul work with a set pattern can expect this OTR solo seat to run two to three weeks out, followed by two to three days off. Where you deliver and how long each haul runs depend on where you live.
You pull a 53' trailer behind a company-provided Freightliner with an automatic transmission, three years old or newer and loaded with current safety features. The freight is no-touch, mostly refrigerated goods with some dry loads mixed in.
The Day to Day:
- Solo OTR driving out of the Nebraska operation
- No-touch freight, so you drive instead of unloading
- Mostly refrigerated loads, plus some dry freight
- Delivery locations and haul lengths shaped around your home base
- Regular communication with customers and your fleet manager
Schedule:
- 2-3 weeks out on the road
- 2-3 days off at home
- Full-time solo position
Equipment:
- Freightliner trucks three years old or newer
- Automatic transmission
- 53' trailers
- Latest safety features on board

Pay Details:
- Safe and On Time Bonus - Up to 3% Weekly
- Pay per mile (CPM)
- Pay is based on 1 years of experience to these OTR accounts
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 3 months of recent Class A CDL experience
