The primary job responsibilities of the position are to perform all prepress functions in a manner as to ensure
optimal print reproduction.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- File inception / preflighting / troubleshooting
- Perform file and image manipulation to optimize print process while preserving original file content
- Perform file trapping, assign line screens, screen angles, dot shapes
- File RIP including inspection and QC
- Ensure all CPs print specifications are met
- Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, ESKO Automation Engine, Packedge, Plato
- Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
- SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
- Employee Health and Safety
- SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
- SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s
- Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years’ experience working as prepress operator
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.
- Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
