Journeymen Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeymen Fabricator to join our top-tier fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality metal components and assemblies, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of complex projects across construction, industrial, and manufacturing sectors. Duties

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
• Operate various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW welding techniques.
• Perform welding tasks with expertise in mechanical knowledge of welding procedures, rigging, pipe threading, and plasma cutting.
• Utilize rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly operations on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
• Maintain quality control by inspecting finished work with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals; ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving machining, assembly, mechanical systems, and construction site requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines rigorously while working with power tools, heavy machinery, and during crane operations; participate in safety meetings regularly.

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of fabrication environments.
• Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, SMAW welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; able to interpret measurements accurately.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to fabrication work; familiar with safety procedures for working at heights or near heavy machinery.
• Ability to operate power tools such as saws, grinders, soldering irons, and machining equipment confidently.
• Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
• Experience working with construction tools like hand tools, rigging gear, forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred.
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills; capable of following detailed instructions accurately. Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
