Asphalt Paving Roller Operator

C. M. Mitchell Construction, LOCATED IN SNEADS FERRY, NC, provides earthwork, demolition, underground utilities, asphalt paving for roads, and parking areas for commercial, residential, municipality, government and NCDOT, as well as aggregate trucking.

We are actively recruiting for the following positions for asphalt paving operations.

• Asphalt Paving Roller Operator

Asphalt Paving jobs are labor-intensive and require being a self-motivated person.

Asphalt Paving Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of prior asphalt experience is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Take care of your tools, equipment, and safety checks in the proper manner
• Knowledge and adherence to applicable DOT and OSHA regulations
• Must be able to climb on equipment, push, pull, jump, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be flexible on days of work and length of shift as the job requires
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and random screenings as outlined in DOT regulations.
• Must be willing to work as part of a team
• Show up for work each day on time
• Be able to take direction from a supervisor
• Have a valid driver's license
• Be able to obtain credentials for Camp Lejeune and NC Ports
• Pay attention to detail and your surroundings in order to work safely

Asphalt Paving Roller Operator Requirements:

• Experience operating asphalt rollers in a paving environment
• Understanding of proper rolling patters and compaction techniques
