CNC Machine Operator - Swiss style

C&M Precision Tech is a veteran-owned, world-class provider of precision engineered and manufactured parts, components and assemblies. In our 90,000 sq ft facility, located in Hudson, NH we have the resources to help our customers manufacture parts that meet the most demanding specifications.

We are very busy supporting the Defense and Aerospace sectors. These projects have a direct impact on our national security and keep our warfighters safe.

We are looking for a Machine Operator for our Swiss Department (Star/Citizen machines).

Essential Functions

• Operate 2-3 machines simultaneously
• Load material into bar feeders when necessary
• Change tools when required
• Keep a tidy and organized work area
• Have a basic understanding of hand tools 
• Tray parts to protect from damage
• Report any unusual sights or sounds to your supervisor

Quality

• Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometers, Vernier’s, drop indicators, plug gages, ring gages, pin gages, and thread gages)
• Follow established quality policies 
• Accurately fill in data for the Quality Assurance (“QA”) Sheet and verify completeness based on part print
• Accurately report the number of good parts made per shift as well as scrap per shift
• Identify and resolve product defects
• Report defects to your supervisor immediately 

Maintenance

• Clean or replace screens, traps, and filters when necessary
• Remove chips from the machine
• Wipe down machines, mop work area, and report machine leaks to your supervisor
• Follow good housekeeping and take proper care of equipment and tooling
• Remove bar remnants
• Check and/or clean collets, guide bushings, and sleeves to ensure proper operation
• Check machine oil levels (cutting fluids, way lube, and bar feeder oil)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
