C&M Legal is partnering with a public sector client in the DC Metro area to support their search for an experienced Data Specialist! This role will support a litigation project on a contract basis, with a potential conversion to a permanent member of their team.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic file processing, data loading, file conversion, database indexing, and quality control to support litigation and eDiscovery matters.
- Prepare, process, and validate incoming data in accordance with established ESI protocols and project specifications.
- Review incoming productions for compliance with applicable ESI requirements and document any deficiencies for escalation and resolution.
- Export data from litigation support databases, ensuring the accuracy of redactions, metadata, and production formats while performing quality assurance prior to delivery.
- Maintain and update processing procedures, workflows, and documentation to ensure consistency with organizational policies and best practices.
- Process electronically stored information (ESI) using industry-standard tools and prepare data for review and production.
- Upload processed data into document review platforms and verify successful ingestion and accessibility.
- Perform quality assurance throughout the data processing lifecycle to ensure data integrity and production accuracy.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve workflows, streamline processes, and enhance the efficiency of litigation support operations.
- Support the implementation of approved process improvements, automation initiatives, and cost-effective data management practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of the litigation discovery process and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
- Experience working with electronic discovery processing and litigation support technologies.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, document review platforms, file encryption methods, and standard office application.
- Experience using litigation support and data processing applications such as LAW, IPRO, Relativity/RelOne, Nuix, or comparable platform.
- Minimum of twvgjho years of experience supporting eDiscovery projects, including electronic file processing, data conversion, database loading, quality assurance, document retrieval, and data analysis.
