Our client is seeking a full-time Intellectual Property Paralegal in their Chicago office, focusing on trademark matters. This position allows for occasional hybrid work after onboarding. Key responsibilities include assisting attorneys with trademark prosecution, searches, and enforcement, as well as preparing and filing trademark applications with the USPTO and foreign offices. The paralegal will manage trademark renewals and maintenance filings, oversee trademark docketing staff, and ensure quality control by monitoring attorney deadlines. Additional duties involve drafting legal correspondence, performing trademark due diligence searches, and maintaining regular client communication.
Qualified applicants should have over 5 years of trademark prosecution experience, both in the U.S. and internationally. Familiarity with trademark databases like Pattsy and CorSearch is preferred, along with experience in the USPTO database. Strong computing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF programs, and VISIO are essential. Experience with copyright and patent prosecution is a plus. The salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $100,000.
