Diesel Shop Technician

Key Responsibilities 

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment 

• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems with precision and efficiency 

• Accurately document service and repair work 

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities 

• Deliver high-quality, reliable repairs that keep our customers moving 

Required Education 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

Required Experience 

• 1–2 years of experience in a technical field (e.g. heavy equipment repair, automotive repair, oilfield services, or a technical degree program) 

Required Skills & Abilities 

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities 

• Ability to diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues 

• Willingness to learn and develop your skills in hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems 

• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Commitment to following instructions, processes, and safety protocols 

• Comfortable with basic computer systems and service software 

Preferred 

• Prior experience working with John Deere construction equipment is a plus
