What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Rental Leader position at C&K Party Rentals?
Job Summary
The Assistant Rental Leader supports the Rental Leader in the delivery, setup, teardown, maintenance, and cleanliness of rental equipment. This is an entry-level, hands-on position designed for dependable individuals who are at least 14 years of age and ready to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Assistant Rental Leaders play a critical role in ensuring events are set up safely, efficiently, and professionally. This position offers valuable experience in teamwork, responsibility, customer service, and operational logistics.
While working, you are representing C&K Party Rentals and are expected to conduct yourself respectfully, responsibly, and professionally at all times.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain equipment, including but not limited to rental inventory, truck, and trailer
- Learn all C&K Party Rentals' booking software and feel comfortable booking a new client, and/or making changes to current bookings
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, without supervision
- Run an event smoothly. Delegate tasks to employees and make sure customers are happy, and most importantly, safe
- Train new employees on correct procedures during setup and teardown
- Give feedback to co-workers and ensure efficiency
- Keep Trucks and trailers organized and clean
- Make sure all trucks have fuel in them and do not run out while they are in your possession
- Check all vehicles before leaving for set-ups. Make sure you have everything you need. If you have to run back to the shop, it makes you behind for the entire day. Things happen, and we want to minimize them
- Safety checks before leaving on all sites. Make sure the customers are safe, happy, and briefed on the operations of their rental units, as well as all state requirements
- Weekly check-ins with owners. Make sure employees you are meeting C&K Party Rentals standards
Requirements
- Be 14 or older with legal ability to work in the US and the state of PA
- Be able to submit background checks and clearances
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
- Work all weekends, weekdays, nights, and HOLIDAYS when needed
- Work on a seasonal and sometimes sporadic schedule. There will be weekends when you are not needed
- Be on time and better yet, early! We have very tight schedules, and it is your job to make sure your truck, trailer, and crew are ready to go for the day
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Have your own transportation to/from work and be on time. there is little tolerance for being late as we are typically on a tight schedule
- Be able to take directions and receive constructive criticism
- Work well with others. Laugh and have a good time while also remaining professional when on site

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
