Key Carrier / Person in Charge (PIC)
Department: Store Leadership
Reports To: Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Responsible for leading store operations during assigned shifts, including supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and direct employees during assigned shifts.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy including tills, safe counts, and nightly deposits.
• Assist with ordering, scheduling, and basic store administration as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, LP standards, and safety procedures.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, resolving issues as they arise.
• Support all departments as needed (Meat, Produce, Bakery/Deli, Grocery).
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns.
Qualifications
• Previous retail or grocery supervisory experience preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Lift/move up to 40 lbs regularly.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
Scheduling Expectations
Varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Success Indicators (KPIs)
• Cash handling accuracy and deposit compliance.
• Store standards maintained during shift.
• Customer service feedback.
• Adherence to LP and safety policies.
