Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packager/Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling, packaging, and preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality production operations while developing technical skills in packaging and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products using hand tools and mechanical knowledge to ensure quality standards are met
- Operate packaging equipment following standard procedures and safety guidelines
- Prepare products for shipment by packing, labeling, and documenting each unit accurately
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control manufacturing equipment when necessary
- Conduct routine inspections of assembled products for defects or inconsistencies
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting to maximize efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols
- Support warehouse activities including the use of forklifts for material handling when qualified
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing, packaging, or assembly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and forklift operation is a plus
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods during shifts
