Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our paint department. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across commercial and industrial projects, including heavy equipment, antique machinery, and our facilities. Your expertise will help transform spaces and equipment, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure durable protection. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and technical know-how. Mechanical knowledge and attention to detail are paramount in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, stains, primers, sealers, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Execute residential painting tasks including interior walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling projects.
- Perform commercial and industrial painting on large-scale structures using appropriate techniques for durability and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Experience
- Familiarity with construction and machinery is a huge plus.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., caulking guns), power tools (e.g., drills), scaffolding setup, and industrial equipment like airless sprayers.
- Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes and matching color schemes accurately.
- Strong basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and estimating material quantities efficiently.
- Willing to train the right person!

Physical Requirements
- Will use tools like sockets, pliers, hammers, sanders, rollers, brushes, etc.
- Must be able to pass medical clearance and be fitted for a respirator to be able to use the paint and blast bays.
- Constant movement includes standing and walking. Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching and squatting.
- Lifting 50 lbs frequently and 20lbs constantly.
