In this vital role, you will support masons and other tradespeople by preparing materials, handling tools, and assisting with various masonry tasks to ensure smooth workflow on the job site. Duties

• Assist masons with mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete to ensure proper consistency and placement.
• Prepare and organize building materials such as bricks, blocks, rebar, and other masonry supplies according to project specifications.
• Handle hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing materials like tile, stucco, or stone.
• Support rebar installation and concrete forming activities by holding or positioning materials as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by clearing debris, securing tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Operate heavy equipment when necessary under supervision for tasks like material transport or site preparation.

Experience

• Prior construction experience is highly preferred, especially in masonry or related but will train.
• Hands-on experience with concrete finishing, plastering, caulking, tile laying, stucco application, or metal stud framing is a plus.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and ability to work effectively within a team environment is essential.
