Responsibilities and duties may include electrical and mechanical diagnostics, replacement part vehicle repairs, and ordering of replacement part for various makes and models of cars and truck.
Responsibilities for Auto Technician
- Properly document all information about vehicles during the intake process
- Ensure all vehicles are safely transported and positioned on all lift equipment
- Maintain a personal tool set with everything needed for diagnostics and repair
- Diagnose all current issues with vehicles
- Maintain a clean and safe shop environment
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (including but not limited to removing and replacing engines & transmissions)
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose and repair issues accurately
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
Qualifications for Auto Technician
- 2 years experience in relevant field
- Attention to detail and the ability follow direction precisely
- Skilled in the operation of shop machinery
- Familiarity with diagnostic systems
- Valid Driver's License
- The ability to work overhead and bent over for long periods of time
