Express Lube Technician

As a Quick Lube Technician, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that vehicle systems are functioning correctly, performing diagnostic tests, and executing high-quality repairs on vehicles in our service drive. Your expertise will contribute to our reputation for excellence, and you'll play a vital role in maintaining our customers' trust and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Testing & Diagnostics: Conduct thorough tests to check the security and proper functioning of vehicle systems and components. Isolate and identify issues to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
• Vehicle Testing & Inspection: Drive vehicles for testing purposes, inspect and refill fluid levels, ensure proper tire pressure, and lubricate fittings as needed. Your attention to detail will ensure the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles.
• Oil & Fluid Maintenance: Perform oil changes, including installing new oil drain plugs and oil filters. Accurately communicate oil levels and any potential issues to your teammates.
• Preventive Maintenance: Proactively repair or replace worn parts to prevent breakdowns or damage, ensuring vehicles remain in peak condition.
• Tool & Equipment Usage: Utilize power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform a variety of tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues to maintain a high standard of service and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Automotive Expertise: In-depth understanding of automobiles, with the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose issues.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with an eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with team members and ensure clarity in all service-related tasks.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and stay current with new repair and service procedures.
• Education & Certification: High School Diploma or GED (required). ASE Certification or Technical degree (preferred).
• Experience: At least one year of experience in a service department (preferred).
• Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
