Job Title: Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative
Location: Hanover, PA
Reports to: Director of Operations
Summary:
C.H. Reed, a leading independent industrial solutions and service provider for compressed air and paint finishing systems in the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of an Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative in our Hanover, PA office. This position works with customers and the outside sales team to organize and execute the day-to-day activities. They are responsible for efficiently and effectively entering and managing customer orders to meet customer needs. This person will serve as the liaison between C.H. Reed customers, and C.H. Reed staff.
Job Duties:
- Enter and maintain customer purchase orders.
- Receive incoming phone calls and emails from customers.
- Communicate with vendor partners for stock and lead times.
- Track open orders and communicate with customers.
- Organize paperwork physically and electronically.
- Answer technical questions pertaining to our products.
- Tend to customers that arrive for pick-up, will need to operate forklift
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education & Experience – High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in a related field with customer service or order entry experience. Forklift certification is required. We will train you.
- Computer Skills –Multiple web-based, ERP, and Windows platforms utilized for completing orders. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and computers are required. Experience with Epicor P21 ERP software is a plus.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills – Earn loyalty and satisfaction with effective and efficient interactions with customers daily.
- Focus – Stay on-task and work through distractions.
- Calm Demeanor –Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Accuracy – Attention to detail needed for orders and related work.
- Critical Thinking Skills – Ability to “think-on-your-feet” and take the initiative to get the job done. The ability to problem-solve, a sharp memory, and creative thinking are imperative.
- Physical Qualifications – Ability to sit for 80% of the workday.
- Training - Willingness to be continually trained in computer, technology, and customer service skills. Cross training for other departments.
- Multitasking – Ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing importance.
