Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Electrician Helper to assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various construction and residential sites. Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to support electrical tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate installation and repairs.
- Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage wiring systems following NEC standards.
- Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with the use of schematics for wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Support the movement of materials and equipment around construction sites as needed.
Skills
- 2-3 years prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Have standard electrical tools.
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, including NEC standards.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable, especially in framing carpentry related to electrical installations.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work and construction environments.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on the job.
- Basic knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn.
