Overview
The production technician performs a variety of tasks. These may include pouring concrete, finishing concrete, building forms, and removing finished walls from their forms onto a trailer for delivery. The tasks in which the production technician performs may require physical labor and the use of hand tools.
Key performance objectives are:
· Keep up with production volume demands as instructed by supervisors
· Ensure production quality
· Effectively communicate with management and other team members
· Operate safely and comply with all safety regulations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Other duties may be assigned.
· Follow detailed instructions and guided directions to assemble forms for daily production to meet SWA requirements.
· Assemble wall panel components.
· Use a measuring tape to mark beds.
· Inspect all forms setup before pouring of concrete for dimension, correctness, level, proper placement of integral components and compliance with SWA specifications.
· Remove completed walls from forms and load onto a trailer for delivery.
· Clean forms by scraping, sweeping, oiling and closing doors.
· Ensure materials and supplies are available for your daily production.
· Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner.
· Operating equipment (Overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) necessary during the production process.
· Follow all safety rules.
· Daily cleaning of concrete forms and production area.
· Other Tasks – as instructed by supervisors. These tasks may be unrelated to the Production Technician’s other responsibilities listed here, but the Production Technician must keep in mind that we are a small business where employees must wear multiple hats. Our ultimate success is a responsibility of all employees, and we must be open to tasks to help accomplish this.

EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have or be working towards the following qualifications:
· Previous concrete or precast concrete experience is a plus.
· Basic math skills.
· Ability to read a tape measurer within 1/16th of an inch.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
· Knowledge of terminology is customarily used in construction.
· Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
· Flexibility with working hours.
· Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
