What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electron Beam Weld Operator position at C.F. Roark Welding & Engineering Co., Inc.?
C.F. Roark Welding & Engineering Co., Inc. is seeking individuals with the aptitude and desire to learn EB Welding. Training will be provided.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up E-Beam welders using basic fixturing
- Load proper programs
- Operate E-Beam welders and other related equipment as required
- Disassemble shielding and clean chambers on E-Beam welders
- Perform basic maintenance, housekeeping and material handling tasks
- Monitor the operation of vacuum equipment on the E-Beam welders
- Properly perform routine filament change
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of and the ability to perform basic computer skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
- Ability to demonstrate basic problem solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend forward to knee level
- Ability to pass vision exam (with or without corrective lenses)
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and carry approx. 15 ft
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds to chest height and place in fixturing with arms extended.
