The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for working closely with logistics, shipping and transportation; accountable for the safe work practices; knowledge and use of inventory tracking system; promote and implement the company’s core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Job Purpose
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for working closely with logistics, shipping and transportation; accountable for the safe work practices; knowledge and use of inventory tracking system; promote and implement the company’s core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate carton labels prior to loading cartons onto trucks.
- Responsible for loading the cartons in the correct trucks-UPS or FedEx.
- Oversee special handling cartons from Invoicing Department.
- Label order number, weight and dimensions accurate for every order.
- Knowledge of shipping practices and pricing.
- Responsible for supply inventory and communication with Customer Service Dept.
- Maintain the company’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate scan gun and maintain inventory counts.
- Oversee Returns from Customers and direct to proper Departments.
- Assist UPS and/or FedEx drivers, as needed.
- Adhere to the Shipping Department daily closing procedures.
- Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.
- Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

- A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience
- Must have the ability to complete work assignments, which on occasion, extend past 5pm
- Computer skills desired for operating warehouse management system (WMS)
- 1-2 years of warehouse/shipping experience, preferred
- Must be able to interpret shipping information
- Must have the ability to meet warehouse deadlines
- Sitting, Standing, Walking
- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
- Good eye-hand coordination and sense of balance
- Exposure to varied temperatures within warehouse environment
- Work inside and outside; work around machinery with moving parts and vehicles
- Carrying, pushing, pulling boxes and items; up to 75-100 lbs, at times.
