Responsibilities for Forklift mechanic
- Maintains and repairs forklifts and aerial lifts to include batteries, battery chargers and battery watering system
- Must be able to use a computer or tablet for several different tasks including creating repair work orders
- Troubleshoot and repair ac/dc electronics and control circuits
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues
- Component rebuilt and hydraulic repair
- Perform routine maintenance such as checking batteries, lubricating equipment, tire changes, brakes
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience with repair/maintenance of industrial electric fork trucks
- Aerial life repair/maintenance experience a plus
- Electric and manual pallet jack repair/maintenance experience
- Knowledge of Yale, Hyster, Crown equipment preferred
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks
