Join CEFS Meals on Wheels as a Substitute Food Delivery Driver and help bring nutritious meals and friendly, dependable service to local communities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the move, supporting a meaningful mission, and making a positive difference each day. You’ll help deliver pre-packaged meals safely, accurately, and on time while supporting the Litchfield central kitchen team with packaging, loading, unloading, and basic vehicle upkeep.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be a key part of the team that keeps daily meal distribution running smoothly and reliably for the people we serve.
- Prepare, seal, count, load, and unload meal trays, milk crates, and delivery supplies with accuracy and care.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to keep meal deliveries timely and dependable.
- Collect and return reusable delivery materials to help the central kitchen stay organized and ready for the next service day.
- Complete vehicle inspections, keep the vehicle clean and fueled, and promptly report issues, delays, accidents, or emergencies.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, site supervisors, and volunteers while following safe driving and program procedures.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Schedule, Pay & Benefits
- Base of operation: Litchfield, IL
- Substitute shift hours available Monday-Friday 6:30 am-11:00 am
- Hourly wage: $16.00
- Paid flex leave
