Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and other prepared items
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely service
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food handling areas and kitchen equipment
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle cash safely, and give correct change
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure food safety standards are consistently met
- Assist in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, taking orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service industry preferred, including quick service or fast food restaurant experience
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- with upselling techniques is a plus
- Prior experience working in a café or deli setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
