Duties
- Prepare bagels and related food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately
- Manage customer orders efficiently, upselling products to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food handling areas and kitchen equipment
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and ensure accurate cash handling
- Assist with food safety management by following sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Support retail sales transactions by engaging with customers, answering questions, and providing excellent service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle fast-paced environments efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Previous café or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
