Summary
The Backflow Specialist assists in implementing and administering the backflow prevention and cross-connection control program.
Required Experiences:
- Backflow Specialist must have or be able to obtain backflow specialist certificate
- Customer service and communication skills
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspecting water system installations to protect the public water supply from contamination.
- Investigating, testing, and inspecting backflow devices for compliance with regulations.
- Coordinating, scheduling, and conducting cross-connection surveys of potable or recycled water systems.
- Scheduling and performing cross-connection testing on dual source sites in accordance with state requirements.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
- Other assigned duties by leadership team.

Physical Demands:
