Job Summary
Candidate must possess a strong interest in electronics manufacturing and assembly work and have the ability to solder electronic components to PCBs. Must be detail oriented and possess a willingness to learn multiple electronics manufacturing functions. This is not a welding position.
Responsibilities/Duties/Physical Requirements
- Hand solders and inspects printed circuit boards for defects and adjusts, repairs or replaces components to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Must be able to use a microscope for long periods to perform soldering and inspection.
- Must be able to perform sustained repetitive motion tasks requiring fine motor skills/manual dexterity to handle, grasp, and utilize objects to include: printed circuit boards, parts and components, tools (soldering iron, tweezers, clippers, etc.).
- Must be able to perform work in a seated position for extended periods of time.
- Must have keen visual acuity (with or without glasses/contacts) including close vision, color discernment, and depth perception.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED, or a combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to solder to IPC-A-610 standards, or the ability to learn to solder to IPC standards.
- Computer proficiency and experience using MS Outlook mail platform.
