Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk management, guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance to ensure smooth functioning.
- Lead and supervise hospitality teams across departments, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Manage hotel budgets, including revenue management, expense control, and financial operations to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to deliver memorable experiences that exceed guest expectations.
- Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems efficiently for bookings, check-ins, check-outs, and reporting purposes.
- Develop strategies for maximizing revenue through effective pricing, promotions, and occupancy strategies while managing hospitality operations budgets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, human resources policies, and hotel policies to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Handle guest relations issues promptly and professionally to resolve concerns swiftly while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
- Coordinate with departments such as night audit teams and front desk staff to ensure seamless communication via multi-line phone systems and proper phone etiquette.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in hotel management practices by analyzing operational data and implementing best practices in hospitality management.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management roles with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of hotel management operations including front desk procedures, guest services standards, and property management systems (PMS).
- Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, financial analysis, and managing hospitality operations budgets.
- Experience overseeing multi-department teams within a resort or hotel environment is highly desirable.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to enhance guest engagement across diverse populations.
- Familiarity with human resources practices related to team management, staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Excellent managerial communication skills combined with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience with night audit procedures and handling multi-line phone systems will be considered an asset.
