What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler Technician -Electrical position at C & C Power Inc?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Assembler / Technician role includes assembly and testing of battery cabinets, telecommunications and other electrical equipment per C&C Power, Inc specifications. Duties include following safety protocols, assembly procedures and quality requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and understand all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and procedures related to manufacturing of quality products.
- Comply with quality procedures including calibrated tools, preventative maintenance tools, perishable materials and handling of defective materials.
- Accurately torque as required per specification using properly calibrated tools.
- Accurately record meter readings including voltage to ensure compliance with standards.
- Produce work safely and efficiently while meeting all quality standards
- Produce assemblies within standard lead time per workbench and clocking’s.
- Visual inspection of material before and after assembly, including video and photos.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area per housekeeping standards, including tool carts.
- Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with all employees and promote a team environment.
- Keeping WIP areas stocked with Inventory needed to perform duties.
- Train colleagues and provide feedback to manager on improvements, defective equipment and/or safety concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of hand tools, multimeters, and power tools.
- Knowledge of basic safety rules.
- Professional attitude and demeanor.
- Respond willingly to changes in assignments.
- Understand in detail how your work meets customer needs.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the field of Manufacturing is a plus.
EDUCATION:
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primary – Factory Environment: Exposed to noise, heavy equipment, heavy lifting and electrical test equipment.
Secondary – Warehouse Environment: Forklifts, manual material handling equipment, dust and heavy lifting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lifting may be necessary (up to 50 lbs.). Light bending and reaching.
