Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Underground Civil Foreman to lead and oversee underground construction projects with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise underground civil construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and schedules
- Coordinate daily activities on the construction site, including resource allocation, task sequencing, and progress tracking.
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to mitigate risks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide excavation, piping, tunneling, or pipeline installation activities
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, daily reports, and quality control records using Bluebeam or similar tools
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met within budget constraints
- Utilize tools such as jackhammer, shovel, generator, excavator, skid steer, rotary laser, etc.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in underground or heavy civil construction projects with supervising responsibilities
- Extensive construction site experience with expertise in pipeline installation, tunneling, or related underground infrastructure work
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings; familiar with construction estimating and budgeting processes
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols specific to underground construction environments
- Excellent project scheduling skills with a focus on managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Effective leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and enforce safety practices consistently
- Valid CA driver’s license
