Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic - Field Service

C&C Industrial is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic - Field Service to diagnose, maintain, and repair construction equipment at our jobsites.

This is a hands-on position for a mechanic who enjoys working independently, solving problems in the field, and keeping critical equipment running.

You'll operate a company-provided service truck and work on a variety of heavy equipment, diesel trucks, concrete pumps, and construction machinery. We're looking for someone who can identify problems quickly, make reliable repairs, and help our crews minimize downtime.

What You'll Do

• Travel to construction jobsites in a company-provided service truck to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and mechanical components.
• Use computer / software in diagnostics and programming of equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform field repairs to get machinery back into operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing at jobsites.
• Work on excavators, loaders, skid steers, concrete pumps, heavy-duty trucks, and other construction equipment.
• Determine repair requirements, coordinate parts and materials, and communicate equipment status to the maintenance team.
• Maintain service records and keep the service truck stocked, organized, and ready for work.
• Follow safe work practices at active construction sites.
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage and occasional after-hours emergency repairs.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of diesel or heavy equipment repair experience; additional field service experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment.
• Ability to independently diagnose and complete repairs in field conditions.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, tools, and mobile repair equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel to regional jobsites and participate in on-call coverage.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mobile or field service mechanic.
• Experience repairing construction equipment, concrete pumps, or specialized heavy machinery.
• Welding and fabrication capabilities.
• Technical training or diesel mechanic certifications.
• Experience with equipment diagnostic software.

Pay: $25 - $30/hr, based on experience.
