Responsibilities

- Prepare the subfloor so it is clean, level, and ready for installation.
- Install hardwood planks, including cutting and fitting pieces around walls, doors, and other obstacles.
- Sand existing hardwood floors to remove scratches, old finishes, and imperfections.
- Apply stain, sealer, polyurethane, or other protective finishes.
- Repair damaged boards, gaps, squeaks, and other flooring problems.
- Use tools such as flooring nailers, saws, sanders, edgers, and other power tools.
- Keep the work area clean and protect walls, furniture, and other surfaces.
- Inspect finished floors to make sure the installation and finish meet quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of floor care techniques.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including lifting heavy equipment or supplies safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
