Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt buildup.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, offices, and other common areas by sanitizing surfaces and restocking supplies.
- Operate janitorial equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, extractors, and cleaning machines safely and effectively.
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal, recycling procedures, and environmentally friendly cleaning practices.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned to uphold high hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services within commercial or institutional settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with environmental services standards and environmentally friendly cleaning products.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
