Job Overview

Duties
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management using software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards
- Conduct detailed account analysis, budget monitoring, and variance analysis to support financial planning and control
- Handle confidential information responsibly while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external auditors
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account analysis
- Proficiency in multiple accounting systems Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software
- Experience with technical accounting tasks such as balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger management
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel data analysis skills and spreadsheet management capabilities
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills complemented by effective communication abilities in a fast-paced environment
