General Labor - Service

C & B Operations has 36 John Deere dealerships in 6 states. We currently have an opening for a General Labor - Service at its John Deere Dealership located in Plentywood, MT. This position supports the Service Department to provide extraordinary customer service on new and used ag equipment. General Labor employees assist with the general maintenance and operation of the department and may assist with a variety of duties as assigned and directed by store management.

Essential Duties:

• Assists the Service Manager, technicians, sales, and parts teams in the efficient operation of the department

• Cleans, organizes, and maintains the shop, lot, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment, including snow removal, weed control, box scraping, and equipment organization

• Assists service technicians with repairs, parts delivery, moving equipment, and documentation

• Loads, unloads, moves, and delivers equipment ranging from mowers to 6R tractors

• Operates small and large agricultural and turf equipment, including a John Deere 624L loader for loading, unloading, and snow removal

• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and follows all safety rules and inspections

• Assists and communicates with customers in safely loading, unloading, and operating equipment and navigating the store, lot, and shop; may answer phones as needed

• Maintains a professional appearance, punctuality, and scheduling expectations

• Completes all required reports, forms, and documentation

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; CDL with or without air brakes preferred

• Ability to operate small and large ag and turf equipment, including a John Deere 624L loader

• Ability to operate various vehicles to transport parts and equipment

• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications

• Ability to operate machines and equipment for facility maintenance, cleaning, and repair

• Strong teamwork skills with sales, service, and parts departments
