Duties
- Operate snow plows, shovels, blowers, and other power tools to clear snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, and walkways
- Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and enhance safety
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify hazards caused by snow or ice accumulation
- Maintain groundskeeping equipment through regular cleaning, fueling, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting identification, and general groundskeeping during off-peak seasons
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks based on weather conditions and operational needs
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience, particularly in snow removal or grounds maintenance preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, landscaping equipment, and snow plowing machinery
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively in various weather conditions
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Excellent physical stamina for prolonged outdoor activity in cold weather environments
