Role Description
We’re looking for a Controller to join our team full-time in Valencia, CA. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations. You'll manage cash flow, budgets, WIP reporting, and financial planning while ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. As a key advisor to the executive team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the company’s strategic financial decisions and supporting continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Cash Flow Management skills
- Experience in financial analysis and forecasting
- Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience in construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar (CPA a plus)
- Strong grasp of job cost accounting, WIP, and % of completion methods
- Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g. Viewpoint-Vista, HCSS, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
