Job Description
The Assistant Equipment Manager will be responsible for assisting our Equipment Manager and help with dispatching company drivers and heavy equipment in accordance with current projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have construction rental yard or equipment service department experience and working knowledge of several types of heavy equipment for construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating locations, drop-offs, and pick-ups of parts and heavy equipment as needed
- Dispatching heavy equipment and drivers to specified locations as needed
- Setting daily driver schedules as needed
- Ordering and managing inventory of parts
- Ensure driver equipment and heavy equipment are working properly
- Manage tracking software (VisionLink) including equipment location, maintenance services, DOT inspections, equipment repairs & diesel clean air checks
- Maintaining dispatch spreadsheet
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3 years of previous construction dispatch or equipment service department experience
- Experience dispatching roll-off trucks, knuckle boom trucks, equipment hauling trucks, etc.
- Strong multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

$68,000-$80,000 depending on experience
