C.A.R.E.S. of Central Pa has an immediate need for DSP's (Direct Support Professionals) in Chambersburg, PA.
C.A.R.E.S. of Central Pa provides person-centered services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We specialize in connecting individuals with opportunities to be family focused, self-determined, individualized, and person centered.

The C.A.R.E.S. of Central Pa Day Program is a unique community-based program where individuals focus on volunteering and recreational activities while maximizing life skills, pre-vocational skills and social skills. Our goal is to ensure that individuals are not just in the community, but are known as a valuable part of their community.
As a DSP, you will plan and provide job development, pre-vocational training, life skills, and social/recreation opportunities to the adults in the program.
· Supervise and ensure safety of up to three individuals with disabilities within a community setting
· Actively participate in the implementation of individuals ISP goals
· Document goals, activities, and daily outcomes
· Participate in planning of life skills opportunities, recreation/social activities and pre-vocational training
· Research and develop new volunteer sites within the local community
· Maintain excellent communication with all team members including individuals and their support team
· Be aware of and follow agency policies/procedures and government regulations for the programs
· Assist in development and implementation of behavioral plans as needed
· Follow schedules as prepared by the Program Specialist/Team Lead
· Maintain safe, neat and clean work areas in compliance with all applicable regulations
· Complete monthly vehicle inspection and log and report any concerns regarding condition of vehicle to Program Specialist
· Operate motor vehicles in a safe manner at all times according to applicable state laws
Qualified candidates will have:
· High School Diploma
· Current First Aid & CPR certification or ability to obtain certification
· Valid driver’s license
All candidates must be able to secure PA criminal background check and have a clean driving record.
