Structural Engineer (2-5 years Experience)

Role Description:

C.A. Pretzer Associates is looking for an engineer with 2-5 years of building design experience to join our structural design team. In this position, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks to design structures for new buildings, building additions, and renovations to existing buildings. You will work with project managers and draftsmen on the development of construction drawings and provide construction phase tasks, including shop drawing review and site visits, as needed.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have 2 to 5 years of experience in the design of building structures with a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• E.I.T. preferred
• Experience designing building components in steel, concrete, and timber is required. Experience with designing masonry components is a plus.
• Experience developing construction documents including drawings and specifications for new building structures, repairs, and modifications of existing building structures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prepare technical reports.
• Proficiency in the use of computer analysis software, including SAP, RAM, AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus
• Experience or Interest in learning the design of stone veneer anchorage is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work with clients in the public and private sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
