Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, tree trimming, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently for construction and landscaping projects
• Assist with hardscape installations like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry work
• Conduct lawn care activities including aeration, fertilization, edging, and seasonal snow plowing to maintain year-round beauty and accessibility
• Support irrigation system installation and repairs to optimize water efficiency across various landscapes
• Engage in gardening tasks such as soil preparation, planting flowers or shrubs, and mulching to enhance aesthetic appeal
• Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure safety and optimal performance during all project phases

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment
• Basic understanding of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture principles, and tree care techniques
• Experience with excavation machinery like excavators is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of construction practices related to hardscape installation and general maintenance work
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, snow plowing procedures, gardening practices, and tree trimming methods preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills

This position requires passing a pre-employment drug screening and must have a valid drivers license.
