Summary
The Expeditor is responsible for supporting procurement operations. On a daily basis, this employee supports the following areas: sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery to meet production needs, and additional objectives to ensure timely and efficient movement of materials to keep operations running properly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit. The employee will use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to noise and aluminum particles. The noise level is usually moderate but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. The employee is required to wear safety glasses when in the plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Strives toward a culture of proactive safety
- Foster a culture of proactive safety, continually demonstrate an unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of health and safety for the workforce
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
- Monitor inventory levels and expedite orders to prevent delays in production
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal functions to resolve bottlenecks or delays
- Track shipment and delivery schedules and provide updates to local leaders
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory movements.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that could impact timelines or efficiency.
- Support purchasing and procurement teams by following up on outstanding orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, escalate matters when necessary
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and constantly meet set deadlines
- Familiarity with inventory management systems preferred
- Prior experience with supply chain process and vendor relations preferred
