Exercise Physiologist - Scope of Position
- Exercise Physiologist handles all aspects of the Pulmonary Rehab program, this program was designed as an 8-week Pulmonary Rehabilitation maintenance exercise program for individuals with COPD, Asthma and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Create and modify exercise prescriptions throughout 8-week exercise program based on patient 's specific needs and goals.
- Currently working with many Long Haul COVID patients in this program... with more proven success than any program in the United States. You would play a big part on this breakthrough treatment that is helping so many patients suffering with Long Haul symptoms. Dr. Windt is currently getting published on this groundbreaking program.
- Assisting with implementation of running a graded exercise stress test.
- Measuring resting and exercising blood pressures
- Conducting fitness assessments that test muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and blood lipid measurements.
- Assessing body composition analyses with various methods such as hydrostatic weighing, skin fold caliper, visceral adipose tissue method , and bioelectrical impedance.
- Instruct patients on various topics including breathing techniques, stress management, conservation of energy, nutritional guidelines, and balance training movements.
- Designing exercise prescriptions for healthy individuals as well as special populations.
- Conduct complete pulmonary function testing and methacholine bronchial challenge tests for individuals with pulmonary disease including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Asthma and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
- Conduct complete pulmonary function Spirometry testing
- Perform mask-fitting and education for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea on CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy.
- Any additional responsibilities pertaining to the diagnostic testing facility and assisting the Doctor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
