Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly and thoroughly to meet health standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations by regularly cleaning work areas, floors, sinks, and storage spaces.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service times.
• Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
• Manage waste disposal efficiently while adhering to recycling protocols and safety procedures.
• Restock dishware and utensils in designated storage areas to ensure availability for staff.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to food handling, cleaning chemicals, and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment.

Skills

• Strong understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Experience with bussing tables and supporting food service operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments during busy meal periods or large events.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to commercial kitchens or hospitality settings.
• Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, catering, or banquet environments is highly desirable.
• Basic culinary knowledge including food preparation support is a plus.
