About the team
The Seed LLM team is dedicated to advancing the next generation of LLMs and solving fundamental challenges in LLM development. Our areas of focus include model pretraining, posttraining, inference, memory capabilities, learning, interpretability and other related directions. We dive deep into the latest technologies and create comprehensive solutions from concept to completion. In our endeavor to adopt LLMs in real-life scenarios, we explore methods to enhance applications through technological innovation.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $60- $60.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research on foundation models and related systems.
- Explore methods to improve model capabilities, reasoning, and performance, including areas such as post-training, horizon-level capability, and evaluation.
- Design and prototype algorithms, models, or system components.
- Collaborate with the team to advance research directions and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a PhD in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills and solid foundation in algorithms and data structures, proficient in Python or C/C .
- Demonstrated research track record with publications in conferences related to natural language processing, machine learning, or large language models.
- Experience related to large-scale models, training, or evaluation.
- Strong problem-solving ability and experience conducting independent research.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a research environment.
