About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and brings hands-on experience managing global HR operations, payroll, and HR systems. You will play a critical role in building scalable HR processes, supporting employees across multiple regions, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws, including U.S. immigration requirements.
This role is onsite at our Hayward, CA office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations across the U.S. and international regions, particularly EMEA
- Administer U.S. payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Manage full-cycle recruitment in a fast-paced tech startup, from sourcing to onboarding across technical and non-technical roles
- Serve as a point of contact for our PEO (Deel), supporting global hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and payroll
- Manage international employment, contractor administration, and compliance across jurisdictions
- Support U.S. immigration processes, including visa sponsorship, work authorization, and compliance
- Support employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, performance management, employee relations) and partner with leadership on scaling efforts
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee support
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions, including U.S. immigration
Qualifications
- 2 - 4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
- Full-cycle recruiting experience within a startup tech environment required
- Experience managing global HR operations and payroll required; EMEA knowledge strongly preferred
- Experience working with a PEO; Deel strongly preferred
- Experience managing U.S. immigration processes (visas, work authorization, compliance)
- HRIS experience, including implementation, maintenance, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment laws
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Benefits administration experience
- Experience in the Data Center industry
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve HR processes and recruiting efficiency
- Experience supporting distributed, global teams
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
