**AWS Cloud Migration Lead / Architect**
**Charlotte, Nc (Hybrid) locals only**
* 10 years of IT experience with strong hands-on AWS architecture and cloud migration experience.
* Proven experience migrating on-premises Java/J2EE applications to AWS.
* Strong hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic, JBoss/JBoss EAP, and Tomcat application servers.
* Experience assessing legacy applications and recommending Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, or Modernization strategies.
* Strong AWS architecture skills across EC2, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, S3, CloudWatch, RDS/Aurora, ECS/EKS, etc.
* Experience designing HA, DR, security, networking, scalability, and performance for enterprise/banking applications.
* Experience with MarkLogic database or similar enterprise NoSQL/database platforms; MarkLogic migration experience is highly preferred.
* Ability to assess the current on-prem architecture and create AWS target architecture, migration roadmap, and phased implementation plan.
* Strong experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, and cloud automation.
* Should be able to act as a technical mentor/SME, guide application and infrastructure teams, and conduct architecture workshops.
* Must be comfortable being hands-on when required with POCs, migration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production cutover.
* Banking/Financial Services experience with large enterprise applications is highly preferred.
