More Than Cleaning
At Byron, housekeeping is about more than keeping spaces clean.
Our residents call Byron home, and Housekeeping Aides play an important role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment where residents can live with dignity and pride.
Every clean room, made bed, and friendly interaction helps improve a resident's quality of life.
What You'll Do
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Respect resident privacy by knocking and announcing yourself before entering
- Make beds and prepare rooms for incoming residents
- Dust furniture, equipment, and common areas
- Clean windows, walls, doors, handrails, and surfaces
- Empty waste and transport trash safely
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures
- Report maintenance and safety concerns
- Assist during emergency preparedness activities as assigned
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming environment throughout the community
Most importantly, you'll help residents feel comfortable, respected, and at home.

Every other weekend and rotating holidays required
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia, behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or other specialized populations.
