Job Summary
Job Summary
The teacher is responsible for developing, implementing and relating the daily activities of the students to the core curriculum using the Common Core State Standards and individualized IEP goals. Through continuous collaboration with a variety of individuals and groups, including parents, district and county personnel and various agencies, the Teacher provides for the academic, social and emotional growth of each student by using a variety of strategies. The Teacher continually assesses each student’s progress to maximize their fullest potential. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for using a variety of assessment tools, developing and implementing IEP’S and transition planning including mainstreaming.
