What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at Byrnes Irish Pub Brunswick?
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Clean and sanitize bar area, including utensils and glassware
- Maintain a well-stocked bar with supplies and ingredients
- Collect payment from customers and process transactions accurately
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
```Experience```
- Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry preferred
- Knowledge of math and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with Betond POS system or similar point-of-sale software is a plus
- Understanding of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members
