We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL driver and dispatcher to join our team. This individual will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, coordinating and dispatching multiple drivers, and ensuring the timely, efficient movement of materials and equipment to and from job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Dispatch and coordinate daily schedules for multiple drivers.
- Monitor driver activity, vehicle locations, and delivery progress to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Communicate with project managers, foremen, and drivers to manage logistics and respond to changing job site needs.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, trip sheets, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company safety standards, and maintenance schedules.
- Train and mentor new drivers as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) — Class A or B required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Prior experience in dispatching or coordinating drivers.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking or dispatch software is a plus.
